Back To The River From The Other Side
Having visited the Potomac from the Maryland side the day before, we decided to go south to Virginia this time. To beat the crowds at Great Falls, we headed to nearby Riverbend Park instead to hike its many trails. It was our first time there and it did not disappoint. The boys were champs hiking the hilly trails for pretty long distances.
On the way home, the boys both fell asleep so I took the scenic route on the many parkways here in D.C. and went to Mount Vernon and back. C fell asleep in the car as well so I had long stretches of solitude. Me + my (quiet) boys + beautiful scenery. A latte in my hand would have made it perfection.
