Where is Spring?

Both of these photos were taken recently.  The first one was this past Saturday morning before DD's birthday party and the second one was taken about a week or so before that on a Friday afternoon post-playground.  Yes, it was so warm popsicles were in order.  Today it's in the 50s and raining.  Where is Spring?

Actually, Spring, I've moved on.  Here in DC Spring can be glorious.  Like on our wedding day 6 years ago.  That went down as one of the best weather days of all time and many of our friends still mention it.  No humidity, a perfect mid-70s day, no breeze, no clouds, just sunny and perfect.  But those days are rare.  It requires the perfect confluence of meteorological events to pull a day like that off and so every year we have about 6 or 7 of those.  So my mind always wanders off to thoughts of summer.  I've already been assembling the boys summer wardrobes and working a bit on my own as well.  We'll be at the beach for a glorious week in August but we are wide open from Memorial Day until then save for my brother's wedding in New York in July. 

Update: Thanks to the chilly cold rain, the whole family is sick with a bad cold.
