An Ordinary Weekend Leads to a Not So Ordinary Week

(UPDATE: it's now midweek and school closed for freezing rain!  Definitely proving to be an extraordinary week.)

We finally had ourselves an ordinary weekend at home.  There are a few small-scale home projects on our list.  A very efficient and successful trip to IKEA took care of almost all of it!  One of our projects is to create an area downstairs that will BB and DD to practice sparring.  IKEA sells these great floor mats (the plufsig) that are good quality.  We loaded up!

It was also Super Bowl weekend so we made sure to get our favorite fried chicken for the big event. Things started out well for the evening but pretty soon it was apparent that we had a sick kid on our hands.  School was delayed 2 hours (again) on Monday morning, which wasn't a big deal at this point because I was staying home with BB anyway.  He's still sick at home today, and worried about the work he's missing.  We're going to be making smoothies and chicken soup.
