Another Getaway

A few more photos of BB and DD skiing on their father-son trip last weekend.  It's another long weekend here in D.C. (because of the inauguration).  Rather than witness the legitimization of this most illegitimate character, we will be shunning the antics for another short getaway.

But before that happens, today is a day of work and school, plus a playdate, a birthday party, and lots of packing (and unpacking from last week).  While January has been full of adventure for us, it's been disappointing weather-wise.  We had a dusting of snow earlier in the month but there are no snow storms predicted for the rest of the month.  We've pinned all our snow dreams on February!

Fun and games aside, coming back home and facing a new reality on Monday will require extra strength and resolve.  I'll be fortifying myself until then.
