DD's First Field Trip
Now that he's a full-day Primary student, DD gets to join in on class field trips. Yesterday was his first, a trip to a fellow parent's science lab at George Washington University Hospital. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to accompany DD and his fellow classmates. The kids got their own little lab coats, hats, and latex gloves while studying things like cork and insects under the microscope. They also got to investigate a real human skeleton (DD can now tell you how to identify a male from a female skeleton) as well as animal bones.
This is only the second field trip I've ever chaperoned. I consider that an utter fail on my part. But I'm working on it.
