Easter 2019

Our recent Easters are less about egg hunts and dyeing eggs.  This is in part due to BB and DD getting older and also because of the fact that we're usually away during Easter or right up until it.  We flew back into DC Saturday night and Sunday morning C and I ran out for food but also for Easter provisions - a lot of eggs, egg dyes, and treats.

On Monday we were lucky enough to attend the White House Easter Egg Roll for another year.  The boys were so excited to don the new clothing items they had purchased on our trip.  After a wonderful breakfast at the White House, we took an official portrait with the President and the First Lady, and then went to the White House lawn for the Easter events.

After the festivities, it was time to go back and start transitioning into reality - both boys had school work to do and we're still fighting a little bit of jet lag.  I'll write about our spring trip soon.  We had a blast but it is nice to be back home and it was so fun to watch 2 back-to-back episodes of the final season of Game of Thrones!
