Ice on the Canal

I'm behind on posts, so please excuse.  Don't mistake my stony silence to mean anything other than paucity of photos and cold temperatures.  We waited until the sun started shining to take the boys for a much needed outdoor romp.  The Canal was iced over and we saw a few ice hockey players gliding around on it's frozen surface.  From the looks on BB and DD's faces, they were in absolute heaven. As the morning went on, the sun started melting things and the boys' stomping started causing weak points in the ice.  They eventually both fell through here and there (nothing to worry about - only about a foot deep where we were).  Water seeped into their boots and gloves so we had to go home, but lots of fun was had for sure.
