BB is a Teenager!

Our wonderful BB is now a teenager!  I can't believe it; nor can he.  I think ideological shift of going from child to teenager had him thinking a lot leading up to this birthday.  We did talk about how it doesn't mean you wake up different and that like every other transition things don't change overnight. 

BB has always been someone who is just a happy person.  He is a light in the world - calm, at peace, generous, kind and gentle.  He is also super smart, full of imagination, and an adrenaline junkie.  

For his birthday, we celebrated it with a gathering of his closest buddies at the St. James.  There the boys rock climbed, did obstacle courses, battled with NERF guns, and jumped in the trampoline room.  C took them all out to dinner when they were tired out, and then back to our house for cake and dessert and more playing before going home around 10.  

We love this kid so much!  He has soared in middle school and we could not be more proud of the person he is.  People who know him or come in contact with him always report to us later marveling at how sweet he is.  I feel like the luckiest mama in the world!  Happiest birthday to my first born son.
