The Different Faces of March
A snowstorm came to celebrate the first day of spring. March is like this. We got several inches of heavy, thick snow and a snow day. The view from our windows changed dramatically.
The timing of this storm was perfect - schools announced cancellations Tuesday evening so bedtimes were stretched with confidence. We had a leisurely breakfast Wednesday morning, a big pot of chicken soup with rice for lunch, time to play with old toys, browse through books, draw, finish up homework, and of course, romp in the snow. The boys' ski pants and jackets got one more wear before we send them off for donation. (I pulled them out of our donation pile just in case). It's a delayed opening for school today. Again, more time for breakfast and lounging together. I drove each of my boys to school, time that we don't normally have together.
