Surprise Beach Trip

Surprise!  We've been away at the beach.  We picked BB and DD up from school early on the last day with a packed car and headed to the shore.  Unlike previous years, our plans weren't made until a few days before we were leaving and we decided to surprise the boys for a job well-done this academic year.

Every year when we go back, the boys stay up progressively later and later.  We celebrated the longest day of the year with Boardwalk fries, shave ice, ice cream and a movie on the beach.  The sun was still hanging on at 8:45PM.  Then we were treated to a rare strawberry moon.  It all felt really special.
