Taipei, Day 2 - Not Enough Time
Sunday, our second day in Taipei, was the day for us to have lunch with my mom's side of the family. Some of them hadn't seen BB or DD since they were little babies, while others had never met them. It was a happy reunion, even though it felt sad to really think about how many years had passed since we had all seen one another. Too many.
After lunch, we peeled off on our own and we went to a Sunday-only market called Simple Market, an outdoor flea/farmers market. There is also the bagelry cum lifestyle store Good Cho's at Simple Market. I bought a few small items and regret not looking more closely at some of the locally made goods they had to offer. On another day we visited a different Good Cho's outpost and tried their tomato and chili bagels. So good we bought some to go.
Jetlag was in full force on this day 2, so after heading to a Sogo nearby for some dinner and shopping (at the wonderful Muji and Uniqlo), we headed back to our apartment for a very early bedtime.
