Easter

The weather was absolute perfection this Easter weekend.  We kicked off the outdoor time on Friday with bubbles at the Circle.  Saturday was an Easter egg hunt for DD, his first ever since the White House Easter Egg Roll of last year didn't really count for him.  Then off to the park for a mini-picnic and barefeet in grass time.

C and I had the rare Saturday night out.  A good friend was in town and dinner on U Street was in order.

Sunday was another Easter egg hunt where BB and DD cleaned up.  Then off to brunch with friends and then to Grandparents' house we went.  Their naptime is when C and I will grab a cup of coffee and get all of our household purchases out of the way - Whole Foods, Target - that kind of thing.  But it seems BB's naptime is fast becoming a thing of the past.  He didn't nap Friday, Saturday or Sunday.  We'll see how things go this week but this could mean big changes in our family.

The fun ain't over yet because BB's got one more day off from school today.  His cousins are here for their spring break and C is taking everyone to the zoo!  Tomorrow the weeklong celebration of spring and Easter comes to an end.  Actually, in our household we'll probably be finally getting around to dyeing our eggs.  We've been so busy we haven't had a chance.  I've got a whole bowl full of hardboiled eggs ready to put on some color.  By the way, the first picture above is BB's Easter egg.  The restaurant we went to brought out a pre-dyed Easter egg for the little ones to decorate with stickers, etc.  He promptly cracked his shell into bits.
